Young Engineers Awards for Innovation and Sustainability
Terms and conditions
- All entrants must be a member of IChemE and must submit their membership number on the entry form. The only exception to this is the UK 16 to 18 category who are not eligible for membership.
- Each entrant/applicant can only submit one (1) entry.
- If entrants are working as a group, the maximum group size allowed is four. All members of the group aged between 18-30 must be IChemE members. For UK 16 to 18 category, the max group size is 6.
- All entries must include the application form and a poster in the designated template. All entries must be received by Thursday 27 March 2025. Entries submitted after this date will not be reviewed.
- All entries will be judged in accordance with set criteria.
- Within each category there will be an overall winner and highly commended entry or entries.
- IChemE reserves the right to not award an overall winner in the event of the judging criteria not being met.
- Individual feedback on any entry will not be given and may not be requested.
- Entrants must not submit commercially sensitive matter as part of their submission.
- It is the entrant’s responsibility to not infringe copyright legislation with regards to images – only images that the entrant has permission to use should be included in the poster.
- If photographs of people are included in the poster, entrants must ensure they have written consent to use the image. Finalists are required to complete a photo permission form.
- All work submitted must be the original work of the person(s) submitting the entry.
- If you are submitting an entry that is based on work carried out with others as an individual entry, you must gain permission prior to submission from your group members to submit the work solely in your name.
- Finalists will be invited to attend an Awards ceremony at the Royal Society, London, UK on 16 June 2025. Malaysia and Australasia events will take place online.
- All data submitted as part of these awards will be used in conjunction with IChemE’s data protection and privacy policies.
