When can I register for Advances 2025?

You can register your interest in attending Advances 2025 now via the Register your interest page.

Will I receive copies of the slides/papers presented at Advances 2025?

Yes, you will be able to download copies of the presentation slides and the full papers (if available) as valuable reference points after the event. Please note that this is subject to authors providing the relevant permissions.

We will also be making videos of the presentations available after the event, allowing you to catch up on anything you missed or revisit content you found interesting.

Can you help with booking accommodation in Manchester?

You are responsible for booking your own accommodation in Manchester, but we have provided a booking tool to help you check availability and make a reservation. More details are available on the Venue, accommodation and travel page.

Presenting

Are there opportunities to present at Advances 2025?

Yes. Our call for content, which invites submissions for oral presentation, is now open. We welcome contributions from anyone with automation, process control and digitalisation knowledge and learning to share. The call for content closes on 2 May 2025. 

Do I need to be an IChemE member to present?

Absolutely not. We encourage members and non-members alike to get involved.

What is expected of a presenter before and during the conference?

Presenters will be given a 25-minute presentation slot in the programme which includes at least five minutes for questions. They are also expected to join the facilitated discussion time relevant to their presentation.

Presenters will be asked to submit a video recording of their presentation along with their PowerPoint slides before the conference. They are also strongly encouraged to submit a detailed paper for the conference proceedings, although this is not an essential requirement. 

I'm planning to present – what are my deadlines?
  • Abstract submissions now open
  • Deadline for abstract submissions: 2 May 2025
  • Abstract review completed, presentation slots offered, programme published: wc 2 June 2025

Deadlines for submitting draft papers, receiving feedback from the technical committee and submitting a final version of your paper, a MP4 recording of your presentation, and PowerPoint slides will be confirmed in due course.

Do presenters have to pay to attend Advances 2025?

Presenters will have full access to the conference so are expected to pay to attend. They will however benefit from a significantly discounted author rate.​ Conference fees will be available soon.
