Andrew Rushton
Andy Rushton taught and researched loss prevention in the process industries at Loughborough University for ten years.
His research covered various aspects of process safety, including hazard identification, and hazard and operability study in particular. He joined HSE in 1998, specialising for ten years in “predictive” aspects of COMAH Reports. He helped develop HSE's guidance on cost-benefit analysis in the context of reducing risk.
He spent two years with RWEnpower developing process safety approaches in power generation.
Since 2011, he has been a Principal Consultant at ESR Technology providing major hazard services onshore and offshore.
He is a member of the Safety and Reliability Society.
