Overview

This presentation will cover the fundamentals of pressure relief in the chemical industry. It will include codes and standards, types of relief devices, causes of over-pressure, sizing, installation and disposal systems.

Mohammed Ali

Mohammad Ali is a chemical engineering graduate from Imperial College. He worked for a US oil company for 36 years before taking early retirement. The last 20 years of his work was in process safety. He represented his company at the Pressure Relief Sub-committee of the American Petroleum Institute (API) for 15 years and was the chairman of the sub-committee from 2005 to 2008. Mohammad has run many in-house training courses on pressure relief at various sites in the UK and in the USA.
