A focus area for the IChemE's Major Hazards Committee is process safety competence.  This project has now released the first of three planned reports.

The first report covers assuring competence in process safety for chemical engineers.  The aim for this part of the project was to develop a ‘route map’ for process safety competence over the full career of a chemical engineer and to make recommendations on changes needed to improve effectiveness.
