Webinar: Automated Control Logic Test Case Generation using Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Date From 22nd November 2024
- Date To 22nd November 2024
Overview
Control engineering for distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) includes designing, implementing, and testing of control logic for complex production processes. Control logic is often formulated in notations such as IEC 61131-3 Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagrams (FBD), or Ladder Logic (LL). Control engineers write programs in these notations manually, which is a laborious process under constant pressure to reduce costs.
Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM) have gained popularity recently to automate certain development tasks for IT applications and could also be utilised for cyclically executing control software.
Speaker
Heiko Koziolek, Corporate Research Fellow, ABB
Heiko is conducting research and consulting work around software architectures for industrial software systems. His goal is to increase the sustainability of large-scale ABB DCS software systems while exploiting opportunities for software reuse. He is continuously looking for university research that can be transferred into ABB business units. He coordinates several ABB-internal research projects on sustainable software architectures.
Heiko has an MSc in computer science from the University of Oldenburg along with a PhD in computer science and software engineering.
