Overview
The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) is pleased to introduce the Palm International Nutra-Cosmeceutical Conference 2023 (PINC 2023), a programme developed to provide a platform to update the latest scientific evidence on the health attributes of palm oil and bioactives to the key industry stakeholders, such as stakeholders from the food and health industry, including nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals and health, manufacturers, retailers, entrepreneurs, academicians, exporters and importers.
Introduction
According to Research and Markets, the global nutraceuticals market size was estimated at around USD 278.8 billion in 2020, and it is forecast to increase to USD 470.9 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 7.8% over the period of 2020 – 2027. The growth drivers of the increasing trend are due to the increased prevalence of metabolic disorders, increased consumer focus on health and wellness products and the increase of elderly population.
The nutraceutical market is segmented into three product types, including dietary supplements, functional beverages, and functional foods. In 2020, the functional food segment dominated the market, and it is foreseen to reach USD 217.2 billion by 2027, which is around 46% of the total market.
