Overview

With many new Industry 4.0 related technologies emerge every day in myriad aspects of palm oil value chain, embarking on digital transformation (DX) journey, keeping alignment with business priority, manufacturing operation and talent development can be both confusing and frustrating.

Things improve when the enterprise level IT (Information Technology) world converges with the production oriented OT (Operational Technology) world. The overall integration covering both vertical and horizontal dimensions can either open up more opportunities or pose a huge challenge or risk to the success and effectiveness of the DX program. 

In this session, a structured approach and lesson learnt will be shared to prepare interested companies to kick start their DX journey or for those companies already in their DX journey to stay on course and avoid unnecessary pitfalls.

Jocylin is a certified assessor for Industry4WRD Readiness Assessment in Malaysia. She has more than 10 years of experience in process and safety automation industry and specialised in oil and gas market, developing and customised technical solutions covering small projects up to mega projects.

She has actively been involved in digital transformation programs focusing in strategic business planning and implementation, focusing on profit and efficiency enhancement for various industries including oil and gas, chemical, oleo-chemical, food and beverages and SME.
