Oil, Gas and Energy Transition
Energy and Resource Efficiency
The future cohort of chemical engineers face a new global challenge to address energy and resource efficiency as part of the transition to a low carbon economy. Further to the completed project on good practice for energy and resource efficiency, this project will deliver educational resources on energy and resource efficiency for industry and academia. As well as targeting chemical engineering students, the project also aims to bridge the gap between industry and academia to allow cross-learning, promoting innovation and greater collaboration opportunities.
Project objectives
The objective is to produce technical content to support a webinar workshop series promoting energy and resource efficiency globally.
The concept of the workshops is conceived as a series of talks given by energy and resource efficiency experts with real examples of applications in industry. It will give workshop attendees an opportunity to listen to academic and industry experts share examples and ideas on energy and resource efficiency solutions.
Outputs
The following outputs are expected:
- A webinar series for various energy and resource efficiency opportunities and case studies.
- A bank of recorded seminars that can be accessed online.
Timeline
It is expected that workshops will be held quarterly. The programme is planned to start in 2023 and run over the following 3 years.
