Overview
This presentation will delve into both the challenges and opportunities presented by the implementation of AI in the mining and mineral processing industry. While there are significant prospects such as operational efficiencies, enhanced safety, improved sustainability outcomes, reliable predictive maintenance, and data-driven decision making, there are also challenges to consider. These challenges include data hygiene, data quality and availability, integration with legacy systems, initial high costs, the need for a skilled workforce, regulatory and safety concerns, and change management. We will look at what industry practitioners must do to overcome these challenges to ensure effective implementation of AI in the mining and mineral processing industry.
