Overview
Alex Routh will provide an overview of the work from his research into colloidal dispersions and discuss how he has worked with many PhDs and post-docs.
Speaker
Alexander Routh, Professor of Colloid Science, University of Cambridge
Alex received his undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 1995. He went to the United States for a PhD in Chemical Engineering at Princeton. In 2000 he returned to the UK for a post-doc in the School of Chemistry at Bristol University and in 2006 he took up a lectureship in Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge.
Alex runs a large research group looking at many aspects of physical chemistry, including colloidal dispersions, drying, pattern formation, tribology and neutron scattering. He teaches across the Chemical Engineering syllabus including process control, maths and the Design Project. Jacob Vester, Senior Consultant, Sustainability, NNE A/S.
