Overview

The goal of this workshop, a collaboration between IChemE’s Education Special Interest Group and Process Systems Enterprise, is to discuss the different ways process modelling is taught in universities and how this aligns with the needs of industry. In this context, we consider process models to imply both flowsheet models and first-principles models (balance equations and constitutive equations).

The workshop is meant to improve awareness of the respective requirements of academia and industry and to facilitate new graduates' effective transition into industry and research.

A variety of universities and companies will present their perspectives in this one-day workshop to be held on Tuesday March 26, in London, UK at University College London.

The material presented has not been peer-reviewed. Any opinions are the presenter’s own and do not necessarily represent those of IChemE or the Education Special Interest Group. The information is given in good faith but without any liability on the part of IChemE.
