Webinar: Hanson Medal: Practical GenAI uses in Chemical Engineering Education
- Date From 19th November 2024
- Date To 19th November 2024
Overview
The release of ChatGPT3 prompted an explosion of interest in the use of GenAI in education because of its promise to offer personalized educational experiences to students at scale. A key challenge now is how to use GPTs most effectively to optimize the learning utility. Teachers can perform many nuanced functions, that GPTs can replicate with different degrees of success, for example: pastoral support, study coaching, knowledge-base, road-testing ideas and Socratic tutoring. But GPTs may also enable new teaching methods that do not currently exist. This talk will review recent work experimenting with GenAI use-cases in the ChemE curriculum.
