Overview
The webinar is aimed to share with the potential postgraduate students whom keen to continue to conduct post graduate research. Pursuing post graduate by research directly from undergraduate studies demands mental preparedness, passion, thirst of knowledge and pursuing of ideas that advance the research for the benefits of society and industries.
Post graduate research demands commitment, dedication and provides opportunities to undertake basic and applied research that enables basic principles learned at undergraduate level be applied in extending the boundaries of knowledge. The opportunities and challenges in pursuing the route are shared as a platform to make ready the potential candidate in embarking the journey.

Professor Ir Dr Suzana Yusup, National Higher Instituitional Center of Excellance Biofuel & Biochemical, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS
Professor Ir. Dr Suzana Yusup (PEng, CEng CSci MIChemE), is the Director at Head of Center for Biofuel & Biochemical Research, Institute of Self - Sustainable Building and is a Professor at Chemical Engineering Department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia.
The center is one of the Higher Institutional National Research Center of Excellent under Ministry of Education. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience and has taught at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. In addition she has supervised more than 30 master students and more than 25 PhD students by research.
Her research interest is the application of chemical engineering fundamentals and principles in her research area of biomass conversion to fuel and biochemicals, material development and green processes.
Among important awards won are Private Education Excellence Award (2018), Malaysia’s Research Star Award (2017), Malaysia’s Rising Star Award (2016). 2nd prize in the Elsevier Green and Sustainable Chemistry Challenge (2016), Top Research Scientist Malaysia (TRSM) (2016) and Asia Research Award (2012).
Intended audience
This webinar is aimed to undergraduate students particularly at their final year, master students by taught course, those working at research institute that have the potential to pursue post graduate studies respectively.
