Geraint is a Chemical Engineer with interests in decarbonisation, energy systems thinking and renewable energy, in particular, biomass, bioenergy, biofuels and CCS.

He has wide industry experience, gained through nearly 40 years in the energy and heavy chemicals industries, across coal, oil and bio. This experience has been gained through his roles in consultancy, programme management, operations, industrial and academic research, and process engineering at his own company, Beacontech Ltd, the ETI, the NNFCC, ConocoPhillips, BP, GSA, Baker-Petrolite, British Coal and Aston University.

Geraint is now retired and working on decarbonising his new house in North Wales.
