Overview
Come along and listen to John present a multimedia presentation describing his experiences at the U.S. Chemical Safety Board and in the chemical industry. He will discuss his recommendations for an effective process safety program starting with the responsibilities of senior management. He will add a cautionary tale about the impact of social media on a new facility.

John Bresland, President of Process Safety Risk Assessment LLC
John Bresland, former Chairman of the Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB). John served as a Board member of the CSB from 2002 until 2012, and as Chairman from 2008 until 2010. Prior to that he worked for Honeywell International, holding positions in process engineering, environmental compliance and plant management. He is currently president of Process Safety Risk Assessment LLC, a consulting company, and is a research fellow at the Mary Kay O‘Connor Process Safety Center of Texas A&M University.
John also won IChemE’s Hansen Medal last year for his article in The Chemical Engineer on control room operator training.
