Hafsah Ali, General Manager Upstream, Asset Manager Shell Trinidad and Tobago

Hafsah is a senior leader in the oil and gas sector and the first female to lead the upstream business in Shell Trinidad. With twenty two years experience in the energy industry, Hafsah has held roles in production operations, process safety, technical safety, asset integrity and engineering.

A chemical and process engineer by discipline, Hafsah started her career in the downstream Point Lisas Industrial Estate and progressed through key engineering and technical authority roles across both the downstream and upstream energy value chain. Hafsah has a passion for operations and delivering operational excellence through integrating high performing and empowered teams.

She believes that every decision she makes must feel right in her heart and lives by the motto “Who I am is how I lead”. When Hafsah is not with her STT family, she spends her time nurturing her family at home as a daughter, sister, wife and mother of three amazing children.
