Overview
There are strong reasons for moving to Smart Cities. Smart Cities are urban centres which use digital technologies to process data to improve and integrate systems to improve life for the population and minimise the environmental impact of the city.
The event is intended to inform about what Smart Cities will mean, what can be done now and what should we expect to see in the future as well as the issues that will need to be addressed.
The event will follow the format of previous Great Debates with four short talks on specific aspects of the topic by experts in these areas. The four speakers will then form a panel to respond to questions and comments from the audience.
