This is a high-level presentation, aimed at those who may have an interest in understanding how and why steam is such a reliable and efficient carrier of thermal energy; why steam will be relevant in process industries for years to come; and how green steam can be generated sustainably, and without a reliance on fossil fuels – thereby moving towards decarbonised steam in the years to come.

Presenter

Daniel Wells, National Consultant Specialist UK & ROI, Spirax Sarco

Daniel has worked for Spirax Sarco for seven years and has responsibility as the first point of contact for Consultant Engineers and EPCs across the UK & Ireland, providing Technical, Educational and Commercial support where required. Prior to Spirax Sarco, Daniel has 15 years’ experience working in a number of roles across the process and mechanical engineering sector.

Sean Spencer, Lead Technical Projects Engineer, Spirax Sarco

Sean joined Spirax in 2016 on a two year graduate program, having studied a Masters degree in mechanical engineering at Loughborough University. Sean is a Chartered Engineer with the IMechE and is currently the Lead Technical Projects Engineer for the development of sustainable technologies. Sean’s previous roles in R&D have primarily been focused around theoretical modelling, data collection, data processing and thermodynamic analysis of low temperature waste heat recovery systems
