Overview

This half day technical seminar/webinar is aimed to highlight the approaches being made to increase sustainability in chemical process operations. With the race to net zero fast approaching, there is an ever-increasing emphasis being placed on reducing raw material and power consumption, while maintaining or even increasing product quality and yield.  We are looking for speakers to give presentations that can highlight innovative efforts to recycle, reuse, and minimise within the context of sustainable processing and circular economy. We are looking for examples of water or wastewater recycling, power reduction, carbon offsetting, introduction of renewable energy, recycling of waste to form new products from either a concept perspective or a fully realised project, such that the current best practices can be shared. Examples where CAPEX and OPEX considerations are available would be most welcome.

The event is aimed at academics, industrialists, and students interested in finding out more about sustainable processing and the efforts being made towards a lower carbon future. The South Wales Member Group committee hope to leave you inspired from this informative seminar and to have an enjoyable half day which will not only enhance your CPD portfolio but also provide valuable networking opportunities in the sector.
