Overview
This presentation will be an overview the IChemE’s consultation response on the Federal Government’s Low Emissions Technology Statement (LETS) 2022 which is used each year to update the Technology Investment Roadmap, an Australian Government strategy to develop and deploy low emissions technologies. The IChemE’s response was produced by IChemE members in Australia and drew on the Institution’s position on climate change published in November 2020. A key element of this response was highlighting how IChemE and chemical engineers are contributing globally to technologies in the transition to a net zero carbon world by 2050.
