Overview

Rukaya Stracey, a Senior Process Engineer with nine years of experience in the mining and metals industry, will present on the development of process flows for a diamond mining process plant. She will cover ore characterisation, mass balancing, and equipment selection, highlighting what makes the diamond mining process unique, from front-end crushing to recovery and sorting.

Rukaya Stracey, Senior Process Engineer, Beca  

Rukaya’s experience spans process plant design from concept to detailed in the minerals and metals industry for various commodities including, Diamonds, Gold, Graphite and PGMs (Platinum Group Metals). As a process engineer at an EPCM (Engineering Procurement and Construction Management) company in South Africa, she was involved in process optimisation, design (mass balance simulations, process flow development) and commissioning. Rukaya is currently working for Beca at NZ Steel.
