Overview

The Auckland regional group of IChemE would like to invite members to visit Chelsea Sugar. This is a great opportunity to learn about how sugar is made.

The visit will include: 

• an introduction to Chelsea
• basic principles of sugar processing
• a tour around the factory
• challenges on energy conservation.

We will meet at the main building reception at 13:00 (please note this is not the visitors centre).

All the visitors must wear closed shoes and long sleeves and pants. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.
