Overview
This presentation is an introduction to flare system design for oil and gas installations. It explores the design issues and requirements for venting, relieving and blowdown systems and the differing requirements and restrictions for onshore and offshore flare systems. For example, how do we design and size a flare network? How do we select different types of flare tip? How do we minimise smoke emissions? In what way does the design of an offshore flare system differ from the design of an onshore flare system? These are just some of the issues and areas that are explored in this 60-minute presentation.
