Overview

The tour provides a great opportunity to network with other chemical engineers in the area whilst learning about (and tasting) an award-winning brewing process. It also gives you insights into original and new equipment.

Submerge yourself in almost 180 years of brewing excellence and discover the heritage of this proudly independent family brewery. As you journey through the brew house, you’ll learn: 

• how they select the ingredients which produce the distinctive tastes and aromas of our ales
• the science & technical information behind the brewing process
• what makes their hopnik and cereal cooker so special and why it’s so important in brewing award winning beer.

The afternoon will also provide an opportunity to meet committee members and exchange ideas for future events and presentations.
