Overview

A full programme of competitive activities for Year 9 and 10 students, centred around STEM and various exciting fields of engineering.

Schools are invited to select and send a single teacher and a team of 6 students (which may be mixed). The event is entirely free of charge; however, places are limited.

The programme for Friday 21 June will include:

  • warm-up icebreaker session
  • team-based collaborative activity
  • hands-on workshop run by Learn by Design and Generating Genius
  • free lunch
  • panel debate between inspiring professionals from varied engineering backgrounds:

    • Rojiar Ferschy – Nuclear Engineer
    • Jennifer Glover – Aeronautical Acoustics Researcher
    • Laura Hoang – Aerospace Engineer
    • Ayo Sokale – Environment and Water Engineer
    • Mamta Singhal – Manufacturing Design Engineer
    • Sakthy Selvakumaran – Structural Engineer
    • Yasmin Ali – Debate moderator – Energy Engineer.
  • engineering fair, supported by membership and outreach officers from several engineering institutions
  • awards ceremony.

Unable to attend in person? 

If you are unable to attend this event in person, the event will also be broadcast via webinar to any schools nationwide who would like to tune in! There will be the option to ask questions with the presenter at the end of the webinar.
