Australia and New Zealand’s most important chemical engineering event of the year Chemeca 2011 opens this weekend in Sydney.
This year’s conference program will feature an impressive line-up of international and local speakers from industry, government and academia who will share their experiences, challenges and lessons learned, and discuss solutions to benefit humanity and the environment.
This year’s aptly named conference theme “Engineering a Better World” will also include an interactive poster session, featuring 200 research paper posters and the Chemeca dinner, where the Chemeca Medal along with other industry awards will be presented.
The Sydney conference has attracted some of chemical engineering’s most talented and experienced experts. Plenary speakers are IChemE president Sir William Wakeham, Martyn Poliakoff from the Clean Technology Group, University of Nottingham, UK, Bill Hoyle from the US Chemical and Safety Board and Maria Flytzani-Stephanopoulos, Tufts University, US.
Noel Williams, Chair of IChemE in Australia says: 'The who’s who of chemical engineering will be there and is not an event to be missed.”
IChemE members receive a discount for the three day Chemeca conference.
